Lithuanian translation must be done by a prisiekęs vertėjas (sworn translator) appointed under Lithuanian law. Most Lithuanian authorities including the Migration Department, universities, and the SKVC (Lithuanian Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education) expect this. A general English-to-Lithuanian translation done in India is usually not accepted. We coordinate apostille first, then route translation through a prisiekęs vertėjas.
For degree recognition, SKVC handles foreign-degree recognition for university admission and regulated professions. The recognition decision is what feeds into the residence permit, the Blue Card, and university enrolment, so we package apostilled and sworn-translated documents in the format SKVC expects.
Lithuania is in Schengen since December 2007 and the Eurozone since January 2015, so once you have your residence permit, onward travel within Schengen is free and salaries are in euros. The India-side steps did not change because of either.

Yes. Lithuania has been a Hague Apostille member since 19 July 1997. MEA apostille from India is the final India-side stamp. No Lithuanian embassy attestation step. Sworn Lithuanian translation by a prisiekęs vertėjas is usually required after apostille.
Can I get the Lithuanian translation done in India?
For most Lithuanian authorities, no. The Migration Department, universities, SKVC and the regulated-profession bodies expect translation by a prisiekęs vertėjas (sworn translator) appointed under Lithuanian law. A general English-to-Lithuanian translation done in India is usually rejected.
