The UK runs busiest for us on four desks. Student Visa for undergraduate and postgraduate admissions at the Russell Group, post-92 and specialist universities. Skilled Worker for IT, engineering and finance. Health and Care Worker for NHS doctors (GMC), nurses (NMC) and pharmacists (GPhC). And family visa pathways for spouses and children joining a worker, student or settled person.
The UK is Hague. State HRD on educational documents, SDM or Home on personal documents, then MEA apostille. Indian-issued documents are mostly already in English so a separate translation is usually not needed. Where the source document is not in English (a regional-language degree, an older affidavit), we add certified English translation before the apostille.
UKVI does not always demand apostille at the visa-application stage. What does demand it is the sponsor: the UK university issuing CAS, the NHS Trust onboarding, the regulator approving practice (GMC, NMC, GPhC, GDC, GOC), and the Home Office in some settlement and citizenship cases later. We size the apostille steps to that, not to the visa appointment.
For NHS healthcare workers, the regulator review is the gate. GMC (doctors), NMC (nurses), GPhC (pharmacists) and GDC (dentists) want apostilled degree, transcripts, registration certificate and good standing letter from your Indian medical council, nursing council, pharmacy council or dental council. The OET or IELTS English test is separate. We coordinate apostille and good-standing requests so both arrive together.
Graduate Visa (the post-study 2-year work permit) does not need Indian apostille directly. The CAS, degree completion and address proof carry it. We mention it because Indian students often confuse the Graduate Visa with the Skilled Worker switch, which does sometimes ask for apostilled experience certificates.

Do I need apostille for a UK student visa?
UKVI does not always demand apostille at the visa-application stage. The UK university issuing your CAS letter often does want apostilled transcripts and degree certificates before admission is confirmed. So apostille is usually driven by the sponsor university, not by UKVI directly. We size the sequence to the university deadline.
I am applying to NMC for nursing in the UK. What do I need apostilled?
NMC review for Indian nurses usually wants apostilled GNM diploma or B.Sc. Nursing degree, marksheets, registration certificate from the Indian Nursing Council and state nursing council, and a Good Standing Certificate from your state council. Apostille on each. The OET English test, the CBT and OSCE clinical exams are separate steps. We handle the apostille steps end to end.
I have a CAS from a UK university but my passport is ECR. Can I still travel?
ECR (Emigration Check Required) status applies primarily to certain work-visa scenarios. Most student travel to the UK on a CAS does not need POE Emigration Clearance, but the rules around ECR change. Check your latest passport status and the current POE rules with the Protector of Emigrants office before the visa appointment. We can flag this on consultation but it is a POE decision, not a UKVI one.
Does the UK Graduate Visa need apostilled documents?
The Graduate Visa itself usually does not. It is granted based on CAS completion, degree completion and address proof, all on the UK side. Where apostille catches Indian graduates by surprise is the switch from Graduate Visa to Skilled Worker, which can ask for apostilled Indian-degree certificates or apostilled Indian experience certificates depending on the role. We prepare those.
