Where is CBT taken, in India or the UK?
CBT is taken at a Pearson VUE centre. Candidates can book it in India, the UK, or any country with a Pearson VUE centre. The choice is the candidate’s.
Where is OSCE taken?
OSCE is sat at an approved test centre in the UK after the candidate has arrived on the Skilled Worker visa. The NMC decision follows OSCE.
For the language test, does NMC prefer IELTS or OET?
NMC accepts both. IELTS Academic with the required scores or OET nursing-specific with the required grades. The candidate chooses which test to take. We do not book the test.
My UK NHS Trust says they’ll arrange OSCE training. Do I still need anything from SiZA at that stage?
OSCE training and the OSCE sitting itself are UK-side; we have no part. The documents prepared in India are typically complete before the Skilled Worker visa interview, so SiZA’s direct role ends once the visa is granted and the candidate flies.
Does the UK Skilled Worker visa need degree apostille?
Apostille is usually required by the NMC for qualification verification. UKVI itself may not require apostille on every degree, but the NMC side does. Better to apostille once, in the form NMC requires, and avoid re-doing it later.
When does the TB screening happen?
TB screening at an IOM-approved centre in India is required for the Skilled Worker visa before submission. The certificate is valid for six months. We refer candidates to approved centres; the screening itself is the candidate’s.
I have a CoS expiring in 30 days. Will the documentation be ready?
Depends on the state HRD timeline and how quickly the council issues Good Standing. We will say plainly after a scan review whether 30 days is realistic for the apostilled set, or whether the CoS needs an extension request from the employer.
