SloveniaApostille, Attestation & Document Services from India

Slovenia uses the Single Permit (combined work and residence) as the main route, and your Slovenian employer initiates it through ZRSZ before the visa is even raised in Delhi. India-side documents need MEA apostille and sworn Slovenian translation (sodno overjeni prevod). Healthcare and other regulated professions also need priznavanje recognition by the relevant Slovenian chamber.

Slovenia's Single Permit (combined work and residence) is the route most Indian skilled workers take. It is employer-initiated through the Slovenian Employment Service (Zavod Republike Slovenije za zaposlovanje) before the visa even raises in Delhi.

Slovenia is a Hague Apostille Convention member and accepts Indian MEA apostille. Most academic, civil, and visa files additionally need certified Slovenian translation by a sodno zapriseženi prevajalec (court-sworn translator) listed by the Slovenian Ministry of Justice. The India-side chain is state-level pre-attestation → MEA apostille → certified Slovenian translation. Degree recognition typically goes through Slovenian ENIC-NARIC.

Overview

Slovenia runs busy on three desks for us. Single Permit (a combined work and residence permit) for IT, healthcare, hospitality, and construction workers sponsored by a Slovenian employer. Student admissions at the University of Ljubljana, University of Maribor, and University of Primorska. And family reunion for spouses joining workers already in Slovenia.

Slovenia is Hague (EIF 25 June 1991, one of the earliest Hague-Europe entry dates among former Yugoslav states). State HRD on educational documents, SDM or Home on personal documents, then MEA apostille. That is the India-side chain.

Slovenian translation must be done by a sodno zapriseženi prevajalec (court-sworn translator) on the Slovenian Ministry of Justice register. Most Slovenian authorities including the Administrative Unit (upravna enota), Slovenian universities, and the regulated-profession chambers expect this. A general English-to-Slovenian translation done in India is usually not accepted.

For regulated professions and university admission, priznavanje izobraževanja (foreign-education recognition) is decided in Slovenia through ENIC-NARIC Slovenia at the Ministry of Education. We prepare apostilled and sworn-translated input documents.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Slovenia accept MEA apostille from India?

Yes. Slovenia has been a Hague Apostille member since 25 June 1991. MEA apostille from India is the final India-side stamp. No Slovenian embassy attestation step. Sworn Slovenian translation by a sodno zapriseženi prevajalec is usually required after apostille.

What is the Single Permit and how do I apply for it from India?

The Single Permit is a combined work and residence permit issued by Slovenia. It is employer-initiated: your Slovenian employer raises the application with the Slovenian Employment Service (ZRSZ) and the Administrative Unit (upravna enota). Once approved on the Slovenian side, you supply apostilled and sworn-translated documents to the Slovenian Embassy or Consulate closest to you for the D visa, then collect the residence permit after arrival in Slovenia.

Degree HRD from Maharashtra, then MEA apostille, then Qatar embassy attestation — a long chain. SiZA tracked every step and gave me realistic timelines for Maharashtra HRD before starting. All documents delivered before my Qatar joining date. I had no idea the process was this manageable with the right support.

Czech Blue Card required apostilled degree, work experience letters, and a certified Czech translation of my degree. SiZA arranged the Maharashtra HRD first — which they told me upfront is required for degrees from Pune University — then MEA apostille, then the Czech translation. The Czech embassy accepted everything first attempt.

AHPRA skills assessment required apostilled pharmacy degree and internship certificate. I was confused about whether Tamil Nadu HRD attestation was needed first. SiZA clarified it clearly — TN HRD is required before MEA for degree apostille. They handled both steps. My documents reached AHPRA exactly as required.
