Translation, MOFA, and chain ordering
- 1
Employment letters fail attestation most often because of format errors, missing letterhead, missing employer registration number, ambiguous salary mention, missing designation, or wrong addressee. Get the letter format reviewed before the employer prints and signs it.
- 2
For Gulf family visa sponsorship, the employment letter typically needs: Chamber of Commerce (where the employer is incorporated) → MEA → Destination Embassy. Without Chamber of Commerce attestation, MEA will not stamp the letter.
- 3
Salary certificates (current pay proof) versus employment letters (employment confirmation) versus offer letters (future employment) are treated differently by Gulf embassies. Confirm which document the destination authority actually wants before issuing and attesting.
- 4
For NRI applicants whose Indian employer letter is needed abroad, SiZA can coordinate with the employer for fresh issuance on letterhead, Chamber of Commerce, MEA, and embassy attestation while the applicant stays abroad.
Embassy-chain timeline factors
- Chamber of Commerce pace
- MEA + destination chain
- Translation + courier transit
Where embassy files get returned
- Routing through HRD or SDM instead of Chamber of Commerce
- Missing designation / dates / signatory authority on the letter
- Submitting employer letter without backing experience certificate where required
Why SiZA on the embassy route
- Chamber of Commerce attestation route for Indian-employer-issued letters
- Employer-letter format review at scan stage (designation, dates, signatory authority, employer legal name)
- Apostille (Hague) or + destination Embassy (non-Hague) after MEA

Frequently Asked Questions
What is embassy attestation?
Embassy attestation is the India-side legalisation route for countries that are NOT members of the Hague Apostille Convention, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Libya, Egypt, and a smaller set of others. The Indian document goes through state-level authentication (SDM, HRD, Home Department, or Chamber of Commerce depending on document type), then MEA attestation, then attestation at the destination country's embassy or consulate in India. UAE MOFA attestation now also happens in India alongside the UAE Embassy step.
