MEA Apostille
Degree Certificate Apostille for France from India
A degree certificate for France is an apostille file. France is a Hague Apostille country, so no French embassy stamp is needed. The Indian chain is State HRD where your university is, then MEA apostille in Delhi, then certified French translation by a court-sworn translator (in France they are called traducteur assermenté). French universities, employers, and the préfecture all want the document in French for any registration or residence file.

France runs two French-side processes in parallel with the Indian work, and getting them right matters. The first is Campus France. For almost every Indian student route to France, Campus France registration, interview, and approval happen before the long-stay D visa is submitted at VFS. The Campus France process has its own academic and motivational review of the student file. The second is the French sworn-translator system. France only accepts certified French translation by a traducteur assermenté for most authority and university submissions inside France. Indian-side certified translation is accepted at the consulate stage for some visas but not for use at the préfecture or French university.
The main French visa lanes for degree holders. Talent Passport (Passeport Talent), the senior skilled professional and salary-threshold-driven route. Salaried (Salarié), the standard work-permit route. Long-Stay D for students after Campus France approval. And Family Reunion (Regroupement Familial) for non-EU sponsor family files. Each lane has its own checklist at the consular stage and its own supporting paperwork at the préfecture stage after arrival.
Send a scan of your degree and transcript on WhatsApp +91-9220161774. Tell us the French recipient (Campus France for which university, Talent Passport employer, Salaried work permit, family sponsor). We will confirm the chain, the working-day timeline for your State HRD, the traducteur assermenté translation page count, and a written quote that separates each step.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is an apostille?
An apostille is a single official stamp issued by India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on the back of an Indian document. Once placed, the document is accepted in any country that is a member of the 1961 Hague Apostille Convention, about 125 countries today, including the USA, UK, Italy, Germany, France, Saudi Arabia (since 2022), and Canada (since 2024). For non-Hague destinations such as UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Libya, and Egypt, MEA apostille alone is not enough, the document needs MEA attestation plus the destination country's embassy attestation in India.
Is apostille required for Saudi Arabia?
Saudi Arabia joined the Hague Apostille Convention in December 2022. For Indian documents going to Saudi Arabia today, MEA apostille (after the relevant pre-step, State HRD for educational documents, SDM or Home Department for civil documents) is the standard India-side authentication. The previous Saudi Embassy + Cultural Attaché route was discontinued in December 2022; some Saudi employers still ask for QVP / Mosaddaqa qualification verification or SCFHS DataFlow PSV separately for licensed professions. SiZA Global confirms which parallel tracks apply to your specific Saudi file at scan review.
