A container terminal operations manager from JNPT Mumbai, MBA Operations from S P Jain Institute of Management and Research Mumbai 2014, twelve years at the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Container Terminal in Navi Mumbai including six years as deputy terminal manager, with a DP World Jebel Ali offer for a senior terminal operations manager role at JAFZA in hand. The DP World HR file needed his SPJIMR MBA degree attested, his BE Mechanical from V J Technical Institute Mumbai (VJTI) attested, his JNPT service letter on Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust HR letterhead with the General Manager's countersign, his class-twelve Maharashtra State Board certificate attested, and a PCC from the Mumbai Passport Seva Kendra Lower Parel. The Maharashtra HRD step ran through the State Higher Education Department, Mantralaya, Mumbai. Then MEA attestation at the authorised MEA service-provider route, UAE Embassy attestation in Delhi through VFS Global, and the UAE MOFA digital stamp at the same VFS Global desk. Around four weeks end to end. DP World HR uploaded the attested set to GDRFA Dubai for the residence visa endorsement, and his employment visa was stamped at the UAE Embassy Delhi the following week.

That sequence is the sequence behind most Indian logistics-professional moves to the UAE. The UAE is one of the world's largest logistics hubs and Indian professionals fill a serious share of the senior operational roles inside it. DP World runs Jebel Ali, the largest port between Rotterdam and Singapore. Khalifa Port handles Abu Dhabi's container traffic and has expanded with the AD Ports Group's investments. Emirates SkyCargo and Etihad Cargo serve as air-freight backbones, with Dubai International (DXB), Dubai World Central (DWC) and Abu Dhabi International (AUH) as the main air-freight nodes. DSV, Kuehne and Nagel, Aramex, Almajdouie, Agility, Bahri, the major 3PL firms, the e-commerce fulfilment players (noon, Amazon.ae, Carrefour, Talabat) and the customs clearance specialists all hire Indian operations leaders, fleet managers, warehouse supervisors, customs brokers and supply chain analysts in mid and senior roles.

How does UAE embassy attestation work for Indian logistics documents in 2026?

The UAE is not a Hague apostille country for Indian personal and educational documents, so there is no apostille in India for a UAE file. The work runs through UAE embassy attestation followed by a UAE MOFA stamp, and every step is done inside India.

Here is the order the file moves in, and how long each step takes:

Step Where it happens Typical time
State HRD attestation (degree, marksheets) Home Education Department of the issuing state 7 to 45 working days, state by state
SDM or Home Department attestation (personal docs) District or state authority 3 to 7 working days
MEA attestation MEA, the authorised MEA service-provider route 3 to 5 working days
UAE Embassy attestation UAE Embassy desk in Delhi via VFS Global 4 to 7 working days
UAE MOFA digital stamp Same VFS Global desk in Delhi Same window
Certified Arabic translation, if asked UAE-listed translator 1 to 2 working days
Tracked return courier Within India 3 to 7 working days

A quick note on the UAE MOFA attestation. Since the 2023 MOFA digital rollout, the UAE MOFA stamp is applied in India at the same VFS Global desk, so you do not wait on anything inside the UAE for it. For the Police Clearance Certificate, the RPO issues it first, then it runs the full UAE embassy attestation work.

If the documents are clean and in order, the whole thing runs in three to five weeks.

Which documents need attestation for a UAE logistics job?

A senior logistics file going to the UAE usually carries a mix of educational, professional and personal documents. Each one travels its own path: degrees go through State HRD attestation first, personal documents through SDM or Home, and everything then meets at MEA and the UAE Embassy.

Educational and professional documents

  • The degree certificate. For senior operations and supply chain roles this is usually an engineering degree (B.Tech in industrial engineering, mechanical, or civil with a logistics specialisation), an MBA with a logistics specialisation, an M.Tech in operations or supply chain management, or a relevant qualification such as a PG Diploma in Logistics from IIM, NITIE or ASCI. These need educational certificate attestation through your State HRD.
  • The marksheets and the university transcript that come with the degree.
  • Detailed experience letters from each Indian logistics employer, naming the role, the period, the reporting manager, the scale of operations handled (number of warehouses, container volume, fleet size, route network), the systems used (SAP MM/SD, Oracle TMS, WMS, ERP integrations) and the project specifics.
  • Professional certifications where applicable: CSCP, CLTD, CILT, APICS, PMP or Lean Six Sigma.
  • For customs brokerage or freight forwarding roles, the candidate's Indian customs broker licence and any FIATA-affiliated certifications.

Personal documents

  • The marriage certificate, if the spouse is joining on a dependant residence. This is a personal document, so it goes through SDM or Home attestation, not HRD.
  • The full long-form birth certificate of each child.
  • The PCC from the RPO.
  • The passport with at least twenty-four months of validity.
  • The UAE employer offer letter.

We do not run the UAE medical fitness test (DHA-approved centres do that after arrival). We do not handle Emirates ID enrolment. We do not handle anything inside the UAE after the residence visa is stamped.

Can SiZA handle UAE embassy attestation, MOFA and Arabic translation for my logistics file?

Yes. The UAE is not a Hague apostille country for Indian personal and educational documents, so the work runs through UAE embassy attestation and a UAE MOFA stamp, with no apostille in India. SiZA handles everything in India: SDM or HRD attestation in the issuing state, MEA attestation in Delhi, UAE Embassy attestation through VFS Global, UAE MOFA digital stamp (now applied in India through VFS Global since 2023), certified Arabic translation by a UAE-listed translator where the UAE employer asks for it, PCC attestation after the RPO issues the PCC, and tracked return of originals to you or directly to the UAE employer. We do not file the UAE work permit (your UAE employer does that with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation). We do not run the UAE medical fitness test or Emirates ID enrolment.

Is SiZA a government department, or a private documentation company?

SiZA Global Solutions Private Limited, the private documentation services firm at C-25, C Block, Sector 8, Noida, runs the paperwork in India on Indian logistics professionals' applications to the UAE. We are a paid service and we are not part of any government office in India or the UAE. We are not ADEK Abu Dhabi, GDRFA Dubai, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the UAE Society of Engineers, MOH UAE, KHDA Dubai or the UAE Embassy in Delhi. What we do is the authentication in India: state Human Resource Development (HRD) attestation at the relevant state directorate, MEA work in Delhi, UAE Embassy attestation through VFS Global in Delhi and the UAE MOFA digital stamp at the same VFS Global desk, certified Arabic translation by a UAE-listed translator where the employer asks for it, and tracked physical movement of originals between issuing offices, MEA, translators and embassies in Delhi NCR. The UAE work permit decision belongs to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation. We do not pretend to influence that decision.
