A solar PV engineer from the National Institute of Solar Energy Gurugram, MTech Renewable Energy Engineering from IIT Bombay 2014, eight years at Tata Power Solar's utility-scale division in Pune (including the Pavagada Solar Park 2 GW commissioning team), with a Masdar Clean Energy offer for a project engineering lead role on a Mauritania solar build-out under the UAE-Mauritania renewable energy framework in hand. The Masdar HR file in Abu Dhabi needed his IIT Bombay MTech degree attested, his BTech Electrical Engineering from College of Engineering Pune (COEP) attested, his class-twelve Maharashtra State Board certificate attested, his Tata Power Solar service letter on Tata Power HR letterhead with the project manager's countersign, and a fresh PCC from the Pune Passport Seva Kendra Vimannagar. The Maharashtra HRD step ran through the State Higher Education Department Mantralaya Mumbai. MEA attestation at the authorised MEA service-provider route. UAE Embassy attestation in Delhi through VFS Global. UAE MOFA digital stamp at the same VFS Global desk. The route runs about four weeks end to end. Masdar uploaded the attested set to ICP Abu Dhabi for the residence visa endorsement and his Abu Dhabi employment visa was stamped at the UAE Embassy Delhi the following week.

That sequence is the one behind most Indian sustainability and renewable-energy moves to the UAE in 2026. The UAE has built one of the most ambitious sustainability and energy-transition programmes in the world. The UAE Net Zero by 2050 strategy, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park in Dubai (one of the world's largest single-site solar parks), the Shams 1 and Noor Abu Dhabi solar projects, the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (the first nuclear plant in the Arab world), the Masdar City and Masdar Clean Energy portfolio, the Etihad Rail electrified network, the Hassyan Clean Coal-to-Gas transition, and the new green hydrogen pilots at Mubadala-backed sites have created sustained demand for Indian sustainability professionals. The roles include solar PV engineers, wind energy specialists, ESG analysts, green building consultants (LEED, Estidama, Al Sa'fat), waste-management leaders, climate-tech founders, EV infrastructure engineers and senior climate-policy advisors.

How does UAE attestation work for an Indian engineering degree in 2026?

The UAE is not a Hague Apostille country for Indian personal and educational documents, so degree attestation for the UAE runs through embassy attestation and the UAE MOFA stamp, never MEA apostille. Every step below is done inside India before you fly. Here is the full UAE MOFA attestation sequence with current timelines:

Step Where Working days
State HRD attestation on the engineering degree (Energy Systems, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil) Issuing state directorate 7 to 45, depending on state and university
MEA attestation the authorised MEA service-provider route 3 to 5
UAE Embassy attestation through VFS Global Delhi 4 to 7
UAE MOFA digital stamp (applied in India through the same VFS Global partner since the 2023 digital rollout) Same VFS Global desk, Delhi Issued with the embassy step
Tracked return courier Within India 3 to 7

A few notes on the table. State HRD attestation is mandatory in states that ask for the HRD step rather than the faster SDM step. Certified Arabic translation by a UAE-listed translator is added where the UAE employer or the relevant regulator asks for it. For the Police Clearance Certificate, the RPO issues it first, then the same UAE attestation steps follow.

If everything is in order, the whole set runs in about three to five weeks. You can read the full picture, with current timelines on each leg, on our UAE country page.

Which documents need attestation for the UAE sustainability file?

The educational certificate attestation usually starts with the degree and transcript:

  • The engineering degree (B.Tech, M.Tech, MS in Energy Systems, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Renewable Energy, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil with sustainability specialisation), with all marksheets
  • The university transcript showing subjects and credit hours

Experience letters, by sustainability role

Keep a detailed experience letter from each Indian renewable energy or sustainability employer, naming your role, period, reporting manager and project specifics. The detail the UAE employer wants varies by discipline:

  • Solar PV engineers: the project capacity and the technology
  • Wind energy specialists: the OEM and the project type
  • Green building consultants: the LEED or IGBC project portfolio
  • ESG analysts: the reporting framework experience (GRI, SASB, TCFD, ISSB)

Professional certifications go in where applicable: LEED AP, IGBC AP, GRESB membership, PMP, CFA ESG.

Civil documents and the offer letter

  • The marriage certificate, if the spouse is joining on a dependant residence
  • The long-form birth certificate of any dependent child
  • The PCC from the RPO
  • The passport with at least twenty-four months of validity
  • The UAE employer offer letter

For Golden Visa eligibility (some senior sustainability roles qualify under the UAE Golden Visa specialists category), add the salary certificate showing AED 30,000 per month or more, or the proof of specialised-expertise certification.

What does SiZA handle in India, and what stays with you in the UAE?

When you first send us scans on WhatsApp at +91 9220161774, we read the documents for UAE Embassy and UAE employer fit. We tell you which documents need HRD attestation or SDM attestation, where certified Arabic translation is required, and how the timing lines up against your visa stamping window. We share the realistic timeline and the realistic cost end to end before any payment is taken.

When the originals reach our Noida office, we run the authentication in India:

  1. HRD or SDM attestation in the issuing state
  2. MEA attestation in Delhi
  3. UAE Embassy attestation through VFS Global
  4. UAE MOFA digital stamp at the same VFS Global desk
  5. Certified Arabic translation by a UAE-listed translator where the UAE employer or regulator asks for it
  6. PCC attestation after the RPO issues the PCC
  7. Tracked return courier to you or directly to your UAE employer

We do not file the UAE work permit. Your UAE employer does that with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation. We do not file the Golden Visa application (the candidate or the employer does that with GDRFA). We do not run the UAE medical fitness test, Emirates ID enrolment or the LEED, IGBC or other professional registration in the UAE. We do not handle anything inside the UAE after the residence visa is stamped.

For a free scan-review of your UAE sustainability file, send a WhatsApp message to +91 9220161774 with photos of your engineering degree, your professional certifications, your experience letters and the offer letter from your UAE employer.

Questions readers often ask

Why are Indian sustainability and renewable-energy professionals moving to the UAE in 2026?

The UAE has built one of the most ambitious sustainability and energy-transition programmes in the world. The UAE Net Zero by 2050 strategy, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park in Dubai (one of the world's largest single-site solar parks), the Shams 1 and Noor Abu Dhabi solar projects, the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (the first nuclear plant in the Arab world), the Masdar City and Masdar Clean Energy portfolio, the Etihad Rail electrified network, and the new green hydrogen pilots at Mubadala-backed sites have created sustained demand for Indian sustainability professionals. The roles include solar PV engineers, wind energy specialists, ESG analysts, green building consultants (LEED, Estidama, Al Sa'fat), waste-management leaders, climate-tech founders, EV infrastructure engineers and senior climate-policy advisors. Senior roles at AED 30,000 per month or more qualify for the UAE Golden Visa specialists category.

Which documents need attestation for a UAE sustainability professional file?

A UAE sustainability file usually carries the engineering degree (B.Tech, M.Tech, MS in Energy Systems, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Renewable Energy, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil with sustainability specialisation) with all marksheets, the state HRD attestation, the university transcript with subjects and credit hours, detailed experience letters from each Indian renewable energy or sustainability employer naming role, period, reporting manager and project specifics (project capacity and technology for solar PV, OEM and project type for wind, LEED or IGBC project portfolio for green building consultants, reporting framework experience for ESG analysts), professional certifications (LEED AP, IGBC AP, GRESB, PMP, CFA ESG) where applicable, the marriage certificate, the long-form birth certificate of any dependent child, the Police Clearance Certificate from the RPO, the passport with at least twenty-four months of validity, and the UAE employer offer letter.

Can SiZA handle UAE embassy attestation and the UAE MOFA stamp for my degree?

Yes. The UAE is not a Hague apostille country for Indian personal and educational documents, so the steps run through embassy attestation and the UAE MOFA stamp, never MEA apostille. SiZA handles the authentication in India: HRD or SDM attestation in the issuing state, MEA attestation in Delhi, UAE Embassy attestation through VFS Global, the UAE MOFA digital stamp (now applied in India through VFS Global since 2023), certified Arabic translation by a UAE-listed translator where the UAE employer or regulator asks for it, PCC attestation after the RPO issues the PCC, and tracked return of originals to you or directly to your UAE employer. We do not file the UAE work permit (your UAE employer does that with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation). We do not file the Golden Visa application (the candidate or the employer does that with GDRFA). We do not run the UAE medical or Emirates ID enrolment.

Is SiZA Global a government department or a private documentation company?

SiZA Global Solutions Private Limited, the private documentation services firm at C-25, C Block, Sector 8, Noida, runs the paperwork in India on Indian sustainability professionals' applications to the UAE. We are a paid service and we are not part of any government office in India or the UAE. We are not GDRFA Dubai, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) Abu Dhabi, the UAE Embassy in Delhi, DHA, Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA), ADEK Abu Dhabi or the Institution of Engineers (India). What we do is the authentication in India: state Human Resource Development (HRD) attestation at the relevant state directorate, MEA attestation in Delhi, UAE Embassy attestation through VFS Global in Delhi, the UAE MOFA digital stamp at the same VFS Global desk, certified Arabic translation where the UAE employer or regulator asks for it, and tracked physical movement of originals between issuing offices, MEA, translators and embassies in Delhi NCR. The UAE work permit, Golden Visa and Green Visa decisions belong to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs. We do not pretend to influence those decisions.
