A Senior Vice President in DIFC-licensed wealth management, MBA Finance from XLRI Jamshedpur 2014, BCom (Hons) from Lady Shri Ram College for Women Delhi 2010, six years at DSP Mutual Fund Mumbai followed by five years at Edelweiss Wealth Management Mumbai, with a Mashreq Private Banking offer for a senior relationship director role at the Mashreq DIFC desk in hand. Her maiden name "Priya Iyer" was on her LSR degree and XLRI MBA. Her married name "Priya Iyer Subramaniam" was on her passport (re-issued after her 2017 marriage in Chennai). The Securities and Exchange Board of India NISM certifications were issued in the married hyphenated form. The DSP service letter from 2010-16 used the maiden form. The Edelweiss letter from 2016-21 transitioned mid-stream from maiden to married. We coordinated a notarised name-equivalence affidavit at the Mumbai Sub-Registrar Bandra, harmonised all letters to the married form via fresh HR-counter-signed letterheads. The Maharashtra HRD step ran through the State Higher Education Department Mantralaya Mumbai for the LSR and XLRI degrees. MEA attestation at Patiala House Delhi. UAE Embassy attestation in Delhi through VFS Global. UAE MOFA digital stamp at the same VFS Global desk. Roughly five weeks end to end. Mashreq Private Banking HR uploaded the attested set to GDRFA Dubai for the DIFC employment-visa endorsement.
That kind of name-continuity discipline is the most common patterns we see on married Indian woman professional files heading to the UAE. Indian women hold a serious share of mid and senior roles across the UAE's professional workforce. The UAE labour market has shifted markedly over the past five years on this. Emirates NBD, Mashreq, ADCB, FAB, DIFC-licensed banks, the Big Four audit firms, the Indian IT majors (TCS, Infosys, Wipro, HCLTech, Tech Mahindra), the digital health companies, the design and architecture practices, the international school networks (GEMS Education, Taaleem, ADNOC schools) and the consulting industry all hire Indian women in roles that range from analyst to managing director. The UAE has separately built out women-targeted entrepreneurship, leadership and tech programmes through bodies like Dubai Business Women Council and the Ministry of Community Development.
Name continuity is worth planning for
The same name-continuity issue that affects the women nurses' Saudi files affects UAE professional files. A maiden name on the engineering or pharmacy or finance degree. A married name on the passport. A different spelling on the previous employer's experience letter. A hyphenated form on a professional certification (CFA, CA, ICAI).
The UAE Embassy in New Delhi reads attested documents against the passport. Inconsistency triggers a query. The fix is the same as the Saudi files: a name-change affidavit notarised before a sub-registrar, recording the maiden-to-married transition with reference to the marriage certificate. For stubborn cases, a gazette publication. The affidavit moves through embassy attestation alongside the other documents.
How the UAE woman professional application moves through the Indian side in 2026
The UAE is not a Hague apostille country for Indian personal and educational documents. The work runs through embassy attestation.
State HRD attestation on the educational documents from the issuing state. Mandatory from Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and several others where the State HRD route applies. Three to seven working days.
MEA attestation in Delhi. Three to five working days.
UAE Embassy attestation in Delhi through VFS Global. Four to seven working days standard. Two to three working days urgent where permitted.
UAE MOFA digital stamp. Since the 2023 MOFA digital rollout, this is now applied in India through the same VFS Global partner. Same window as the embassy step.
Certified Arabic translation by a UAE-listed translator on the educational documents and the experience letters where the UAE employer asks for it.
The marriage certificate, the birth certificate of any children to be added on a dependant visa later, and the PCC from the RPO go through the same route.
If everything is in order, the steps run in three to five weeks.
Documents the UAE woman professional application carries from India
The degree certificate (B.Tech, B.Sc, BBA, BBS, MBA, M.Tech, M.Pharm, MD, MCA, the relevant Indian academic qualification) with all marksheets, in the candidate's name as on the certificate.
Professional certifications where applicable: CFA charter, CA / ICAI for chartered accountants, ICSI for company secretaries, MFA membership for designers, AIIA for architects.
The university transcript with subjects and credit hours.
Detailed experience letters from each Indian employer, with role, period, reporting manager and a description of the work.
The marriage certificate and the name-change affidavit or gazette notification where the maiden and married names differ. The birth certificate of any children to be added on a dependant residence later. For parent sponsorship plans, the candidate's own birth certificate showing the parents' names.
PCC from the RPO. Passport with at least twenty-four months of validity. The UAE employer offer letter.
Family sponsorship plans matter at the documentation stage
A UAE professional residence visa lets the holder sponsor a spouse and children on a family residence visa. From 2024, the UAE also allows women residents to sponsor their husbands directly without the older administrative restrictions. A senior woman professional may also sponsor parents on a long-term resident visa, subject to the income and accommodation requirements.
Building the attested set for all the family certificates now, alongside the professional ones, is materially cheaper than running a second route six months later from Dubai or Abu Dhabi. The same applies to the candidate's own birth certificate, which will be needed if parents are sponsored later.
Where SiZA fits on the UAE woman professional application, and where it does not
When you first send us scans on WhatsApp at +91 9220161774, we map the name continuity across maiden and married records, identify which documents need re-issue, and lay out the route across both the professional and the family files. We share the realistic timeline and the realistic cost end to end before you pay anything.
When the originals reach our Noida office, we run the authentication in India. HRD or SDM attestation in the issuing state, MEA attestation in Delhi, UAE Embassy attestation through VFS or VFS Global, UAE MOFA digital stamp, certified Arabic translation by a UAE-listed translator where the employer or regulator asks for it, name-change affidavit drafting where needed, PCC attestation after the RPO issues the PCC, and tracked return courier to you or directly to your UAE employer. Named SiZA staff carry the documents between offices in Delhi NCR.
We do not file the UAE work permit. Your UAE employer does that with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation. We do not run the UAE medical fitness test (DHA, DOH or MOH-approved centres do that after arrival). We do not handle Emirates ID enrolment. We do not arrange the family sponsorship application on the UAE side after you arrive. We do not handle anything inside the UAE after the residence visa is stamped.
For a free scan-review of your UAE women professional file, send a WhatsApp message to +91 9220161774 with photos of your degree, your professional certifications, your experience letters, your marriage certificate (if applicable) and the offer letter from your UAE employer.
