Saudi Arabia Apostille & Attestation for Indian Hotel & Catering Staff
Saudi Arabia is hiring Indian chefs, kitchen staff, restaurant managers and pastry teams across the Red Sea Project, NEOM and the established hotel brands. Since 7 December 2022 a single MEA apostille, not the old Saudi Embassy attestation, makes your Indian degree, experience letter and PCC valid in Saudi. Here is exactly which documents need apostille attestation in India, where the Arabic translation fits, the realistic timeline, and how SiZA runs the whole file from Noida.

A pastry chef from ITC Maurya New Delhi, IHM Pusa Bachelor of Hospitality and Hotel Administration, nine years at the ITC Maurya bakery and dessert operations including a six-month French-pastry rotation at ITC Grand Chola Chennai, with a Six Senses Southern Dunes Red Sea Project offer for an Executive Pastry Chef role at the opening team in hand. The Six Senses HR file needed his IHM Pusa BSc apostilled, his ITC Maurya service letter on the Indian Tobacco Company HR letterhead with the Executive Chef's countersign, his class-twelve CBSE certificate apostilled, his Police Verification Certificate from the Delhi Passport Seva Kendra Bhikaji Cama Place, and his FSSAI-equivalent Food Safety qualification. The Delhi HRD step ran through the Directorate of Education Old Secretariat. MEA apostille at Patiala House Delhi. Saudi-listed Arabic translation of the experience letter and the FSSAI document. Saudi became a Hague apostille destination for Indian documents on 7 December 2022, which removed the older Saudi Embassy attestation step entirely. The Six Senses opening-team paperwork was fast-tracked under the Riyadh Ministry of Tourism's Vision 2030 hiring push for new-property staffing. Five weeks from the documents leaving Noida to his Saudi work visa being stamped at the Saudi Embassy Delhi.
That is the path behind most Indian hospitality moves to Saudi Arabia in 2026, and the document part is the part most people underestimate. This guide covers what Saudi hotel HR actually reads in your experience letter, which papers need apostille attestation in India, where the certified Arabic translation fits, the emigration clearance, the realistic timeline, and what SiZA handles for you from Noida.
Saudi Arabia's tourism transformation under Vision 2030 has opened a sustained hiring pipeline for Indian chefs, sous chefs, kitchen staff, restaurant managers, banquet operations specialists, catering supervisors and pastry teams. The Red Sea Project, the AMAALA wellness destination, the Diriyah Gate hospitality cluster, Al Ula's heritage and luxury resort programme, NEOM's hotel infrastructure, the King Salman Park hotel zone, the Riyadh Front and the Riyadh hotel expansion across luxury and mid-scale brands all need staffing. Established Saudi hospitality (Sofitel, Movenpick, Crowne Plaza, IHG, Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, Rotana, Anantara properties in Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, Makkah, Dammam, Khobar and Abha) recruits in parallel.
What does Saudi hospitality HR read in an Indian chef's experience letter?
Saudi hospitality is more conservative on dietary detail and alcohol-related work history than the UAE. A Saudi hotel HR reading a chef's CV is checking the cuisine specialisation, the halal experience, the dietary handling (vegetarian, halal, kosher, allergen-aware), the station, the hotel category and the language exposure (English plus any working Arabic).
Ask each past Indian hotel or restaurant for a detailed experience letter before you leave. Name the cuisine, the station, the hotel brand and category, the meal periods and the supervisor.
Which documents need apostille attestation for a Saudi hospitality visa?
Saudi joined the Hague apostille convention for Indian documents on 7 December 2022. Personal and educational documents now go through a single MEA apostille, not the older Saudi Embassy attestation. Because Saudi is a Hague country, this is apostille attestation, never embassy attestation or MOFA attestation on your Indian papers.
The work runs in this order:
- State attestation on the qualification. The hotel management diploma, the culinary degree or the catering trade certificate goes through SDM, State HRD attestation or notary depending on the issuing state. Three to seven working days.
- MEA apostille in Delhi at the Patiala House counter. Three to five working days.
- Certified Arabic translation by a Saudi-listed translator on the qualification and the experience letters. SiZA's translators handle certified Arabic translation accepted by Saudi HR.
- PCC apostille. The RPO issues the Police Clearance Certificate, then it takes the same MEA apostille.
- Tracked return courier to you or directly to the recruitment agency. Three to seven working days inside India.
If everything is in order, the whole file runs in two to four weeks.
Do Indian hospitality workers need emigration clearance for Saudi Arabia?
Saudi is on the ECR list. POE clearance through the e-Migrate portal is mandatory for ECR passport holders being recruited through an MEA-registered Recruitment Agency. ECNR passport holders do not need POE clearance.
SiZA does not replace the Recruitment Agency. We work alongside the RA on the documentation paperwork in India, while the RA handles the demand letter, the power of attorney and the visa stamping.
What documents go in the Saudi hospitality file?
Qualification and skills documents
- The hotel management diploma (IHM, Welcomgroup, Oberoi Centre, Manipal, Christ University Hospitality), the culinary qualification (ITI catering, Le Cordon Bleu, ICCA, Culinary Academy of India) or the relevant academic qualification
- HACCP, food safety, halal certification awareness, allergen awareness, fire safety and first aid certifications where applicable
- Detailed experience letters from each past Indian hotel or restaurant, naming the cuisine, the station, the hotel category, the dietary handling and the supervisor
Personal and employer documents
- The Police Clearance Certificate from the RPO
- The passport with at least eight to twelve months of validity
- The Saudi employer offer letter, the demand letter and the power of attorney from the Saudi employer to the Indian recruitment agency
- The GAMCA-approved medical fitness certificate, done at a GAMCA-approved centre before visa stamping
The table below shows what happens to each document and the rough time it takes in India:
| Document | What it needs in India | Rough time |
|---|---|---|
| Hotel management or culinary qualification | State HRD or SDM attestation, then MEA apostille, then Arabic translation | 10 to 14 working days |
| Experience letters | MEA apostille, then certified Arabic translation | 6 to 10 working days |
| Police Clearance Certificate | Issued by RPO, then MEA apostille | 5 to 9 working days |
| GAMCA medical fitness certificate | Done at a GAMCA centre, no apostille | Before visa stamping |
| Offer letter, demand letter, power of attorney | Handled by the Saudi employer and the RA | Set by the RA |
What does SiZA handle on a Saudi hospitality file?
What we run from our Noida office
When you first send us scans on WhatsApp at +91 9220161774, we read the qualification and the experience letters for Saudi hospitality HR fit. We tell you where letters need more cuisine or station detail, where to add halal handling experience explicitly, and how the timeline fits against the visa stamping window. We share the realistic timeline and cost end to end before any payment is taken.
When the originals reach our Noida office, we run the authentication in India: state attestation, MEA apostille in Delhi, certified Arabic translation by a Saudi-listed translator on the qualification and the experience letters, PCC apostille after the RPO issues the PCC, and tracked return courier to you or directly to the recruitment agency for visa stamping. Named SiZA staff carry the documents between offices in Delhi NCR.
What stays with the Recruitment Agency and the Saudi employer
We do not run the recruitment agency role. The RA handles the demand letter, the power of attorney, the POE submission through e-Migrate and the visa stamping. We do not run the GAMCA medical. We do not handle anything inside Saudi after you arrive.
For a free scan-review of your Saudi hospitality file, send a WhatsApp message to +91 9220161774 with photos of your hospitality or culinary qualification, your experience letters and your Saudi offer letter (if you have it).
