Think of a student in Nagpur who has an admission letter from a university in Prague. This is an illustrative situation, not a report about a customer. The Czech Embassy appointment is in Delhi, the Indian originals are still at home, and the student has only a few weeks to prepare a passport-office PCC and academic records. The practical job is to get the documents apostilled in India and then translated into Czech by an officially authorised translator. The Czech Republic is a Hague Apostille country, so eligible Indian public documents use MEA apostille. Czech Embassy attestation is not added after the apostille.

That sequence is the sequence behind most Indian student moves to the Czech Republic in 2026. The Czech Republic has emerged as one of the more accessible EU student and tech-worker destinations for Indians. Prague, Brno, Pilsen, Ostrava, Olomouc and Hradec Kralove host the Czech universities (Charles University in Prague, the Czech Technical University Prague, Masaryk University in Brno, Palacky University Olomouc, the University of Economics Prague, the Czech University of Life Sciences) and the larger IT and shared-services cluster (IBM, AT&T, Red Hat in Brno, ExxonMobil shared services, Microsoft Czech Republic, DHL IT services, Capgemini). The university tuition for English-medium Master's programmes is moderate compared to Western Europe, and the post-study work permit lets Indian graduates transition to an Employee Card or EU Blue Card.

Which documents need apostille and translation for the Czech Republic?

The Czech Republic has been a Hague Apostille country for Indian documents since 1999. That means a single MEA apostille is the standard authentication, not embassy attestation. For an Indian degree headed to Prague or Brno, the degree attestation runs in three steps before translation.

  1. Prepare the Indian public document. HRD attestation is not a blanket Czech requirement. The first India-side check depends on the document and the route MEA accepts. A passport-office PCC, a university degree and a municipal birth certificate do not all start at the same desk.
  2. MEA apostille in India. Normal apostille work takes about 2 to 4 working days after the document has the accepted prior check. Urgent processing can be completed in 24 hours when the file qualifies and the next day is a working day.
  3. Official Czech translation. The Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs says foreign-language documents for long-term visa and residence files must be submitted with an officially certified Czech translation. Use a translator whose authority can be checked in the Czech Ministry of Justice register; a normal agency certificate or notary stamp does not turn the translation into a Czech sworn translation.

For the Police Clearance Certificate, the Regional Passport Office issues it first, then it takes the MEA apostille. Tracked return courier takes three to seven working days inside India.

If everything is in order, the whole process runs in three to five weeks.

What are the Czech visa routes for students and tech workers?

The student route

The long-term residence permit for studies. Apply at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi after the university issues the admission decision. The candidate shows proof of funds (around CZK 110,000 to 130,000 in a Czech bank account for the first year), accommodation in the Czech Republic and health insurance. The Czech foreign police processes the in-Czech residence registration after arrival.

The worker route

The Employee Card (Karta zamestnance) is the standard combined work and residence permit, tied to an employer and a specific role. The EU Blue Card is available for highly qualified workers at a salary of at least 1.5 times the average Czech gross annual wage (around CZK 770,000 to 800,000 in 2026). Family reunification is available after six months on the Employee Card.

For students transitioning to work after graduation: the Czech offers a one-year residence permit for the purpose of finding employment after a Czech master's degree, which the candidate can convert to an Employee Card or Blue Card on a job offer.

What documents does a Czech Republic application need from India?

For students

  • The bachelor's or master's degree (where applicable for postgraduate applications) and the current academic record with all marksheets
  • The university transcript with subjects, credit hours and grading scale
  • The English-medium degree certificate or English Medium of Instruction certificate

For tech workers

  • The engineering or business degree with marksheets
  • Detailed experience letters from each Indian employer naming role, period, reporting manager and the technology stack or project specifics
  • Professional certifications (PMP, AWS, Azure, CCNA, CFA depending on role)

For both

  • The marriage certificate and the long-form birth certificate of any dependent child
  • Certified Czech translation by a sworn translator on all academic, professional and civil documents
  • The PCC from the Regional Passport Office
  • The passport with at least twenty-four months of validity
  • The Czech university admission letter or Czech employer offer

What does SiZA handle on a Czech Republic file, and what stays in the Czech Republic?

When you first send us scans on WhatsApp at +91 9220161774, we read the documents for Czech Embassy and Czech employer fit. We tell you which documents need translation, where state-level attestation applies, and how the process times against the visa stamping window. We share the realistic timeline and the realistic cost end to end before any payment is taken.

When the originals reach our Noida office, we run the document work in India. That is state HRD attestation, MEA apostille in Delhi, certified Czech translation by a sworn translator, PCC apostille after the Regional Passport Office issues the PCC, and tracked return courier to you or directly to your Czech employer or university. Named SiZA staff carry the documents between offices in Delhi NCR. If you want to read the educational attestation step in detail, our HRD attestation page covers it.

We do not file the Czech student visa, Employee Card or EU Blue Card. The Czech employer or the candidate files these with the Czech Embassy and the Czech foreign police. We do not handle Czech university admissions. We do not handle anything inside the Czech Republic after you arrive. You can also read more on our Czech Republic country page.

Questions readers often ask

Why are Indian students and tech workers choosing the Czech Republic in 2026?

Which documents do Indians need to apostille and translate for the Czech Republic?

A Czech Republic file usually carries the bachelor's or master's degree (for postgraduate applications) and the current academic record with all marksheets, the university transcript with subjects, credit hours and grading scale, the English Medium of Instruction certificate, detailed experience letters from each Indian employer for work files naming role, period and reporting manager and technology stack, professional certifications (PMP, AWS, Azure, CCNA, CFA) where applicable, certified Czech translation by a sworn translator (soudni prekladatel) on all academic, professional and civil documents, the marriage certificate if a spouse is joining, the long-form birth certificate of any dependent child, the Police Clearance Certificate from the RPO, the passport with at least twenty-four months of validity, and the Czech university admission letter or employer offer.

Can SiZA handle Czech Republic apostille, attestation and certified Czech translation?

Yes. The Czech Republic has been a Hague apostille country for Indian documents since 1999, so Indian degrees and certificates need a single MEA apostille in India, not embassy attestation. SiZA handles the document work in India: state HRD attestation in the issuing state, MEA apostille in Delhi, certified Czech translation by a sworn translator (soudni prekladatel), PCC apostille after the Regional Passport Office issues the PCC, and tracked return of originals. We do not file the Czech student visa, Employee Card or EU Blue Card (the Czech employer or the candidate files these with the Czech Embassy and the Czech foreign police). We do not handle Czech university admissions.

Is SiZA a government department or a private documentation company?

SiZA Global Solutions Private Limited, the private documentation services firm at C-25, C Block, Sector 8, Noida, runs the paperwork in India on Indian workers' and professionals' applications to the Czech Republic. We are a paid service and we are not part of any government office in India or the Czech Republic. We are not the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the Czech Foreign Police, the Czech Ministry of Education, any Czech immigration consultancy, the Institution of Engineers (India), the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Delhi or the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs. What we do is the authentication in India: state Human Resource Development (HRD) attestation at the relevant state directorate, MEA work in Delhi, MEA apostille and certified Czech translation by a Czech Embassy-listed translator, and tracked physical movement of originals between issuing offices, MEA, translators and embassies in Delhi NCR. For other destinations the work is the same paperwork in India: apostille for Hague countries, or embassy attestation and MOFA for non-Hague countries like the UAE and Qatar, with DataFlow coordination where a Gulf healthcare role requires it, certified translation, and the tracked physical movement of originals between issuing offices, MEA, translators and embassies in Delhi NCR. The Czech Employee Card and Blue Card decisions belong to the Czech ministry of interior and the Czech foreign police. We do not pretend to influence those decisions.
