A senior automotive electronics engineer at Bosch India Bengaluru, MTech Embedded Systems from BITS Pilani Pilani campus 2018, BTech ECE from Government College of Technology Coimbatore (GCT Coimbatore) 2016, six years at Bosch India on the powertrain controller and BMS firmware programmes for the Indian and European OEM markets, with a Skoda Auto offer for a senior software engineer role on the Skoda body electronics platform at the Mlada Boleslav campus in hand. CZK 95,000 monthly base on a Czech Employee Card. The Skoda HR file in Mlada Boleslav needed apostille on his BITS Pilani MTech, MEA apostille on his GCT Coimbatore BTech, MEA apostille on his class-twelve Tamil Nadu State Board certificate, MEA apostille on his marriage certificate from the Bengaluru Sub-Registrar, certified Czech translation by a Czech Embassy-listed translator, and a fresh PCC from the Bengaluru Passport Seva Kendra Lalbagh. The Czech Republic has been a Hague apostille destination for Indian documents since 1993, so the route stayed clean through MEA Patiala House. The Tamil Nadu HRD step ran through the Directorate of Technical Education Guindy. The Karnataka HRD step ran through the State Higher Education Department Multistoreyed Building Bengaluru. MEA apostille at Patiala House Delhi. Roughly six weeks end to end. The Czech Foreign Police in Mlada Boleslav issued the Employee Card in five weeks. Arrival is typically at Vaclav Havel Prague Airport for the June 2026 Skoda Mlada Boleslav start.

That sequence is the sequence behind most Indian automotive and IT moves to the Czech Republic in 2026. The Czech Republic is one of Europe's quieter destinations for Indian engineering and IT talent. The country runs a serious automotive industry on the back of Skoda Auto (a Volkswagen Group brand) at Mlada Boleslav, Kvasiny and Vrchlabi, Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech at Nosovice, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Czech Republic at Kolin, and Bosch across multiple sites. The IT services side has IBM, Red Hat (with its main European hub in Brno), AT&T, ExxonMobil shared services in Prague and DHL IT services. Indian mechanical, automotive, electronics, electrical and IT engineers fill senior and mid roles across both clusters. The pay-to-cost-of-living ratio is favourable compared to Germany, Switzerland or the Netherlands, and the EU work permit gives onward mobility across the Schengen area.

The Czech work permit landscape in 2026

The Czech Republic uses three main work permit routes for non-EU candidates.

The Employee Card (Karta zaměstnance) is the standard combined work and residence permit. It is tied to an employer and a specific role. Valid for up to two years initially, renewable. Most Indian engineers and IT professionals take this route.

The EU Blue Card is available in the Czech Republic for highly qualified workers with a Czech offer at a salary of at least 1.5 times the average Czech gross annual salary (the 2026 threshold is around CZK 770,000 to 800,000 per year). The Blue Card gives broader EU mobility after eighteen months.

The Intra-Company Transfer Card is for senior managers, specialists or trainees being transferred to the Czech operation of a multinational.

Long-term residence becomes available after five years of continuous Employee Card or Blue Card residence. Family reunification under any of these permits lets the spouse and children join after six months on the main permit.

How the Czech Republic automotive engineer application moves through the Indian side in 2026

The Czech Republic has been a Hague apostille country for Indian documents since 1999. MEA apostille is the standard authentication.

The work has three steps on the India side.

State-level attestation or notarisation. Educational documents go through HRD or the State Education Department. Personal documents go through SDM or Home Department. Three to seven working days.

MEA apostille in Delhi. The Ministry of External Affairs adds the apostille stamp. Three to five working days.

Certified Czech translation. The Czech Embassy in Delhi and Czech employers want the academic and civil documents translated into Czech by a sworn translator (soudní překladatel). Three to seven working days.

For the Police Clearance Certificate, the RPO issues it. PCC goes through MEA apostille and Czech translation in the same way.

Tracked return courier takes three to seven working days inside India.

If everything is in order, the process runs in three to five weeks.

What documents the Czech file carries

The engineering degree (B.Tech, BE, M.Tech, M.Pharm where applicable, MCA for IT roles) with all marksheets. The university transcript with subjects and credit hours.

Experience letters from each Indian employer, with role, period, reporting manager and a description of the technical work. For automotive engineers, vehicle platforms, software stacks and validation methods. For IT engineers, the technology stack, project scope and team size.

Professional certifications where applicable.

The marriage certificate, if the spouse is joining. The full long-form birth certificate of each child being added as a dependant.

Certified Czech translation of all academic, professional and civil documents by a sworn translator.

PCC from the RPO. Passport with at least twenty-four months of validity.

Where Czech files often get stuck

Czech translation by a sworn translator. Generic Indian translation services produce documents that the Czech foreign police and the Czech ministry of interior reject. Use a sworn translator (soudní překladatel) from the start.

Quota for non-EU work permits. The Czech Republic operates quotas at the consulate level for non-EU work permits. The Czech Embassy in Delhi has an annual quota for Employee Card applications. Plan around the quota cycle.

Salary checks for the Blue Card. The Blue Card salary threshold (around CZK 770,000 to 800,000 in 2026) has to be met before the application. Confirm with the employer.

Anerkennung-style recognition for regulated professions. Doctors, lawyers and some engineering roles need professional recognition through the Czech recognition authority before practising. Automotive and IT roles in private industry usually do not.

Visa appointment slots at the Czech Embassy in Delhi. Slots can be tight, especially in peak season. Book the appointment early in the file's lifecycle.

When you first send us scans of the certificates on WhatsApp at +91 9220161774, we read them for Czech Embassy and Czech employer fit. We tell you which documents need translation, what the sworn translator network looks like, and when to start the visa appointment booking. We share the timeline and cost end to end before you pay anything.

When the originals reach our Noida office, we run the work in India. State-level attestation or notarisation, MEA apostille in Delhi, certified Czech translation by a sworn translator, PCC apostille after the RPO issues it, and tracked return courier to you or to your Czech employer. Named SiZA staff carry the documents between offices in Delhi NCR.

We do not file the Employee Card, the Blue Card or the Intra-Company Transfer Card. Your Czech employer does that with the Czech ministry of interior. We do not run Czech professional recognition. The Czech recognition authority does that. We do not arrange Czech Embassy interview appointments. We do not handle anything inside the Czech Republic after you arrive.

For a free scan-review of your Czech Republic engineering or IT file, send a WhatsApp message to +91 9220161774 with photos of your degree, your marksheets, your experience letters and the offer letter from your Czech employer.
