Indian professionals are joining Ireland's pharma and technology growth story.

A senior data engineer at LinkedIn Bengaluru, BTech CS from IIIT Hyderabad 2014, MS Computer Science from Georgia Tech online 2018, five years at LinkedIn Bengaluru on the People Search infrastructure team, with a LinkedIn Dublin direct-transfer offer for a senior staff data engineer role at the EMEA headquarters on the Tom Clarke Bridge campus in hand. EUR 105,000 annual base on a Critical Skills Employment Permit. The LinkedIn HR file in Dublin needed MEA apostille on his IIIT Hyderabad BTech degree and consolidated grade sheet, MEA apostille on his class-twelve Andhra Pradesh State Board certificate, MEA apostille on his marriage certificate from the Hyderabad Sub-Registrar, and a fresh PCC from the Hyderabad Passport Seva Kendra Begumpet. The Georgia Tech MS was apostilled separately by the US authorities via the Georgia Secretary of State. Ireland has been a Hague apostille destination for Indian documents since 1999, so the route stayed clean through MEA Patiala House without needing the older Irish Embassy attestation step. The Telangana HRD step ran through the State Higher Education Department Tarnaka. MEA apostille at Patiala House Delhi. The route runs about four weeks end to end. The Irish Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment in Dublin issued the Critical Skills Employment Permit in three weeks. Typical arrival is at Dublin for the May 2026 start on schedule.
That sequence is the sequence behind most Indian pharma and tech moves to Ireland in 2026. Ireland punches well above its weight as a destination for Indian pharma and tech professionals. The reason is the country's industry mix. Nine of the ten largest pharmaceutical companies in the world have manufacturing operations in Ireland: Pfizer at Ringaskiddy and Grange Castle, MSD at Ballydine and Carlow, Janssen, Bristol-Myers Squibb, AbbVie, GSK Ireland, Eli Lilly at Kinsale, Roche and AstraZeneca. The technology side runs from Google's European headquarters in Dublin to Meta's EMEA hub, LinkedIn, Stripe, Microsoft Ireland, Workday, Salesforce, Apple in Cork, Amazon Dublin and HubSpot. Indian pharma scientists, engineering graduates and software engineers fill mid and senior roles across all of these. Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick carry most of the Indian settlement.
The Irish work permit landscape in 2026
Ireland uses an employment permit system tied to job offer and salary level. The Critical Skills Employment Permit (CSEP) is the route most Indian professionals take. It needs an Irish job offer on the Critical Skills Occupations List (most engineering, IT, pharma scientific and clinical research roles are on the list) at a salary of EUR 38,000 or higher, or any role at EUR 64,000 or higher. CSEP holders are eligible for Stamp 4 long-term residence after two years on the permit and can apply for Irish citizenship after five years of total residence.
The General Employment Permit is for roles not on the Critical Skills list. It needs a labour market needs test (the employer has to show the role could not be filled by an Irish or EU candidate first) and a salary of EUR 30,000 or higher.
The Intra-Company Transfer Permit is for senior managers, key personnel or trainees being transferred to the Irish operation of a multinational. The minimum salary is around EUR 46,000 for managers and key personnel.
Family reunification under Stamp 4 sponsorship lets the CSEP or Stamp 4 holder bring the spouse and dependent children. The spouse can work on a Stamp 1G or Stamp 4 dependant permit.
The in India stamps a Ireland pharma professional application needs in 2026
Ireland has been a Hague apostille country for Indian documents since the convention entered into force for Ireland in 1999. MEA apostille is the standard authentication.
There are three steps on the India side.
State-level attestation or notarisation. Educational documents go through HRD or the State Education Department in the issuing state. Personal documents (marriage certificate, birth certificates) go through SDM or Home Department. Three to seven working days.
MEA apostille in Delhi. The Ministry of External Affairs adds the apostille stamp. Three to five working days.
Certified English translation only if the document is in a regional Indian language. For English-medium Indian documents (which is most), no translation is needed.
The Police Clearance Certificate from the Regional Passport Office is needed for the Stamp 4 application after two years on the CSEP and for some specific situations.
Tracked return courier takes three to seven working days inside India.
If everything is in order, the whole route runs in two to four weeks.
What documents the Irish file carries
The engineering degree, the B.Pharm, the M.Pharm, the PhD or the relevant academic qualification with all marksheets. The university transcript showing subjects and credit hours. Pharmacy Council of India or the relevant Indian professional registration certificate where applicable.
Experience letters from each Indian employer, with the role, period, reporting manager and a description of the technical work. The Irish Department of Enterprise reads experience letters carefully when reviewing the CSEP application.
For pharma professionals applying for roles that involve dispensing or prescribing in Ireland, registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) is needed. PSI's qualification recognition process is separate from the work permit and uses the apostilled degree as the starting point. Most Indian pharma scientists working in research, regulatory affairs, clinical operations or quality do not need PSI registration.
For doctors applying for medical roles in Ireland, the Irish Medical Council registration is needed. The Irish Medical Council recognises Indian MBBS degrees through a streamlined pathway and uses the apostilled degree as the starting point.
The marriage certificate, if the spouse is joining. The full long-form birth certificate of each child being added as a dependant. The sponsor's CSEP or Stamp 4 details, gathered on the Irish side. Passport with at least twenty-four months of validity.
Where Ireland files often get stuck
CSEP eligibility list updates. The Critical Skills Occupations List is updated periodically by the Department of Enterprise. Check the current list before assuming a role qualifies.
Salary threshold mismatches. The salary in the offer letter has to clear the relevant threshold (EUR 38,000 for Critical Skills, EUR 30,000 for General Employment, higher for ICT). Some offers in Indian rupees converted to Euros may sit below the bar.
Experience letter detail. The Irish Department of Enterprise reads experience letters for actual technical responsibility, not just titles. Ask each Indian employer for a detailed letter before you leave.
Pharmacist registration via PSI. The PSI process takes time and is needed only for retail or hospital pharmacy practice in Ireland. Industry roles do not need it.
Family reunification timing. The CSEP holder can sponsor family from arrival under the policy that came in around 2022, removing the older twelve-month wait. Confirm the current policy with the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service before planning.
What we run from Noida on a Ireland pharma professional file, and what stays on the Ireland side
When you first send us scans of the certificates on WhatsApp at +91 9220161774, we read them for the Irish CSEP and the Irish Department of Enterprise fit. We tell you what needs to be re-issued and which documents go through the apostille work first. We share the timeline and the cost end to end before you pay anything.
When the originals reach our Noida office, we handle the paperwork in India. State-level attestation or notarisation, MEA apostille in Delhi, certified English translation if any document is in a regional Indian language, and tracked return courier to you or to your Irish employer. Named SiZA staff carry the documents between offices in Delhi NCR.
We do not file the CSEP, the General Employment Permit, the ICT permit or the Stamp 4 application. Your Irish employer does that with the Department of Enterprise and INIS. We do not run PSI pharmacist registration or Irish Medical Council registration. Those bodies do that on their own timelines. We do not arrange Irish consular appointments at the Irish Embassy in Delhi. We do not handle anything inside Ireland after you arrive.
For a free scan-review of your Ireland pharma or tech file, send a WhatsApp message to +91 9220161774 with photos of your degree, your marksheets, your experience letters and the offer letter from your Irish employer.
