A senior accountant at Emirates NBD in Dubai, an Indian national who has lived in the Burj Khalifa neighbourhood for twenty-two years and holds a UAE Golden Visa, walked into our Noida office during a March 2026 home visit to Mumbai. The trigger was the upcoming renewal of his ICAI Chartered Accountant membership in Mumbai and the parallel renewal of his ICAEW associate membership through the UAE chapter. Both required certified copies of his Sydenham College Mumbai Bachelor of Commerce degree (issued 2001), his Mumbai University Master's in Commerce (2003), his Institute of Chartered Accountants of India membership card, his ICAEW UAE chapter card, and the attested set of those on a fresh stamp dated within twelve months. The 2009-vintage attestation his office held had expired by the UAE professional-body cycle. Routine renewal, routine documentation, no urgency. The conversation took fifteen minutes; the documents moved through state HRD Mumbai, MEA Patiala House Delhi, the UAE Embassy at Chanakyapuri through VFS Global, and back to him at Burj Khalifa within five weeks.
That is the routine pattern across the 3.5 million Indian-origin people in the UAE in 2026, the largest expatriate group in the country. Engineers, doctors, accountants, lawyers, banking specialists, IT senior managers, business owners who have been in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, RAK, Ajman or the smaller emirates for ten, twenty or thirty years still need Indian documents authenticated on a regular basis. Family residence visa renewals, parent sponsorship on long-term resident visas, ancestral property management in India through Power of Attorney, UAE professional licence renewals (Engineering Society licensure, DHA, DOH, MOH UAE medical and nursing licensure, ICAEW, ICAS, ACA accountancy registration, UAE Bar registration), cross-border tax filings, OCI maintenance and Indian listed-company shareholdings all bring the documentation work back to MEA in Delhi.
What sends the UAE diaspora professional file back to the counter
UAE family residence visa renewals every three years. Each renewal cycle reads the spouse's and children's identity documents against the original Indian certificates. The same attested marriage certificate and birth certificates are used repeatedly across renewal cycles.
Parent sponsorship on a UAE long-term resident visa. The leader's Indian birth certificate, the parents' marriage certificate and the leader's UAE residence visa documentation come together for the application.
UAE professional licence renewals. The DHA, DOH and MOH UAE medical and nursing licensure runs through DataFlow primary source verification of the Indian degree and Indian professional registration. The same applies to the Engineering Society licensure, the ICAEW / ICAS / ACA accountancy registration and the UAE Bar registration. The in India documents need to be in the same form they were originally attested in.
Indian property management. Power of Attorney granting an Indian-resident family member or lawyer authority to manage, sell, partition or rent property in the leader's home district. Sub-Registrar adjudication after the attestation work.
UAE Golden Visa. Senior Indian professionals earning above AED 30,000 per month or with specialised expertise in priority sectors apply for the ten-year UAE Golden Visa. The application reads the Indian degree, the professional registration and the salary certificate.
UAE Green Visa. Five-year self-sponsorship visa for freelancers and self-employed professionals.
OCI maintenance. Indian-origin UAE residents with OCI cards renew through the Consulate General of India in Dubai or the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
The 2026 in India the UAE diaspora professional process from issue to embassy
The UAE is not a Hague apostille country for Indian personal and educational documents. The steps run through embassy attestation.
State-level attestation. Personal documents go through SDM or Home Department. Educational documents go through HRD. Three to seven working days.
MEA attestation in Delhi. Three to five working days.
UAE Embassy attestation in Delhi through VFS Global. Four to seven working days standard.
UAE MOFA digital stamp. Since the 2023 MOFA digital rollout, this is now applied in India through the same VFS Global partner.
Certified Arabic translation by a UAE-listed translator on the Power of Attorney, the audit reports and the experience letters where the UAE authority asks for it.
For Power of Attorney drafted in India for a UAE-resident principal, the steps run through notarisation, then the full UAE attestation route. For Power of Attorney drafted in the UAE for execution in India, the document is notarised by a UAE Notary Public (or attested at the Dubai or Abu Dhabi Court), legalised through the Ministry of Justice, then through the UAE MOFA, then through the Indian Embassy or Consulate in the UAE, and then certified translation and Indian Sub-Registrar adjudication on arrival.
Tracked return courier takes three to seven working days inside India.
If everything is in order, the route runs in three to five weeks.

The Noida-side work on the UAE diaspora professional file, and the UAE side that follows
When you first send us scans on WhatsApp at +91 9220161774, we read the documents for UAE GDRFA, DHA / DOH / MOH or Indian counter fit. We tell you which documents need re-issue, where SDM or HRD applies, and how the route runs alongside the UAE-side renewal or sponsorship window. We share the realistic timeline and the realistic cost end to end before any payment is taken.
When the originals reach our Noida office, we handle the paperwork in India. SDM or Home Department attestation, HRD on educational documents, MEA attestation in Delhi, UAE Embassy attestation through VFS or VFS Global, UAE MOFA digital stamp, certified Arabic translation by a UAE-listed translator where the UAE authority asks for it, notarisation and full UAE attestation on India-drafted Power of Attorney, and tracked return of originals to you or to your UAE address.
We do not file the UAE family residence visa renewal or the parent sponsorship application (the UAE-side PRO does that with GDRFA). We do not run the DHA / DOH / MOH or other UAE professional licence renewal (the relevant UAE regulator does that). We do not run OCI re-issuance (the Consulate General of India in Dubai or the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi does that). We do not handle Indian Sub-Registrar property transactions or Indian or UAE tax filings.
For a free scan-review of your UAE Indian-origin professional file, send a WhatsApp message to +91 9220161774 with photos of the documents you need attested and a short note on what they are being used for.
